FOR YOU AND THE ADULTS SUPPORTING YOU

Your learning. Your choice. Clear privacy.

ICPED has reviewed four Future & Independence courses for learners aged 13 and above. School-age examples include around age fifteen; older examples cover later transitions. Online accounts for under-13s are not sold through this checkout.

Someone has given you a course

That means someone is cheering you on. You do not need to pay. For ages 13–17, your parent/guardian is asked separately about the account arrangements and you choose whether to accept. No paid learning access is arranged before both steps and verified payment. If you do not want the gift, contact hello@icped.online with the reference; a full refund is available to the buyer.

What information is used?

The buyer supplies names, email addresses, your age group and country, the chosen learning, message and gift date. We ask for an age group rather than exact birth date. Your parent/guardian receives only the relevant invitation details. We record approval, acceptance and the notice version and time. Standard checkout does not ask for ID documents. Do not send passwords, PINs, private images or sensitive family records.

Your account is private learning

ICPED stores account details, course access, lesson views, quiz attempts and completion recognition to run your learning. A viewed lesson does not prove understanding. Your buyer and parent/guardian do not automatically get your password, grades or private notes. Your email is hidden from other learners, social features are restricted and reflections can stay on paper or in your thoughts. No learner directory or public discussion is needed for these courses.

What should you share?

Use fictional examples for personal topics. Do not post private stories in quizzes or Irene. On a shared device, sign out and avoid saving your password. Discuss safe email and device use with a trusted adult. Keep private gift, order and approval links out of public groups. Younger learners are not asked to post certificates, personal achievements or public recommendations.

For the parent or guardian

The adult buyer is not automatically a legal guardian. ICPED asks the named person to confirm parental responsibility, the age group/country and suitable arrangements. This is ICPED’s account policy for 13–17s; it is not a claim that every country has the same consent rules. If you cannot authorise the arrangements, details are wrong, or separate emails/devices are unsuitable, decline or contact ICPED. Pending approval links expire 14 days after their email. Approval does not subscribe anyone to marketing.

Can we change our minds?

Yes. Contact hello@icped.online to decline, correct details, stop participation or withdraw approval. ICPED will pause the relevant access while handling the request and can arrange a full refund to the buyer. Some purchase records must stay for accounting or legal obligations; unnecessary contact and message content is reviewed. Ask about a particular record.

Help with learning—or help with something serious?

For login or course help, email hello@icped.online. ICPED support is not a confidential counselling or emergency service. For harm, threats, bullying or other personal safety concerns, speak to a safe trusted adult, a school safeguarding contact or verified local child-help service. If a particular adult is unsafe, try another route. Immediate danger needs urgent local help. Find local child helplines; in the UK, Childline supports under-19s. Check each service’s current country coverage and availability.

Adults buying the gift

Purchases currently require an adult UK-resident buyer. The recipient may live elsewhere if the arrangements are suitable and can be authorised. Choose the gift with them, especially for sensitive topics. Do not use learning as punishment or a condition for family support. Account access lasts twelve months from when it is arranged, after the required approvals and gift date.
